European Telework Week 1998

This year's Telework Week runs from

2 - 9 November

and is expected to include more events and happenings than ever - improving on the record-breaking Week of 1997.

There are opportunities to stage local events, enter for and win European Telework Awards, or join the activity as a sponsor or partner, alongside the European Commission, France Telecom, Telecom Italia, Siemens, Cisco, Toshiba - and, of course, European Telework Development. Or you can simply attend an event near you and enjoy the experience. Telework Week now has it's own web site, linked below, here is a summary of the main ingredients:

About Telework Week 98
Telework Week started in 1995 and has grown from a handful of activities in a few countries to last year's 147 registered events in 13 countries. Estimated attendance was over 10,000 people, with millions more reached through a range of radio and TV activities. Telework Week is the main outreach activity of the European Telework Agenda, alongside European Telework Online and the annual European Telework Assembly.
More background at the Telework Week site.

Corporate Support
In 1995 the main support for Telework Week came from the European Commission and the European Telework Online web site, with a lot of voluntary work by activists in countries. For 1998 there are five main "corporate partners" - France Telecom, Telecom Italia, Siemens, Cisco, Toshiba - demonstrating the value placed on this event by leading players in the IT and telecommunications sectors. There are opportunities to partner with and benefit from Telework Week at both European and national levels and also by supporting or organising specific activities.
More about partnering at the Telework Week site.
